That is an excellent question, and this is an excellent post. Men take note.
I love how "Mom's Night Off" equates to a meal filled with cholesterol and trans fat - like a night away from the kitchen is one step closer to death for her family.
No pressure, Mom. We love heart disease.
Steamed fresh vegetables, grilled chicken/beef/pork/fish/whatever, and a fresh loaf of french bread from the bakery at the grocery store. Your family stays healthy, your wife will enjoy the night off, and you'll be the hero. Best of all, it will only take you 30 minutes to cook it, and you'll get to play with fire.
I believe desserts are the solution to most of life's problems. Desserts, food and traveling. For everything else, I turn to the wisdom of my family, my friends, Anne Shirely and Sailormoon.
